A bit about our Gourmet Hawaiian Chocolate:

Chocolate come from the cacao tree and is known as “Food Of The Gods”. The tree originated in South America and in ancient Mesoamerica where the Aztecs, Mayans, Toltec and other civilizations flourished and for whom the drink made from the roasted cacao bean was considered sacred.

Western civilization is credited with the addition of sugar and milk, and Modern Chocolate goes a step further. Like fine wine, the impact of climate and soil on a particular variety of chocolate has much to do with flavor. Cacao grows in a narrow climate belt north and south of the Equator. Hawaii is the only state in the U.S.A. where Cacao can be grown.

Chocolate can have floral, spicy, and citrus or tobacco aromas and flavors, and higher percentages of chocolate do not automatically equate to a superior product: the sugar added actually enhances the flavors and subtle notes of each variety, and the correct balance brings each given variety to its peak level of flavor. Today, chocolate is proving to be a super food, its health benefits just being uncovered. Chocolate is high in flavenoids and anti-oxidants. Chocolate, like red wine, contains substances called phenols, and has been shown to be positively related to heart health, blood pressure, insulin control, and brain function. So this wonderful food of the gods is actually good for us! Eat more chocolate and improve your health!

You can choose from several of our beautifully packaged boxes in quantities of 6, 12, 18, or 24 pieces. Special orders and requests may be available with advance notice for large corporate and special events and catering. Shipments go out each MONDAY so plan accordingly please and order the week prior to the Monday you desire the chocolates to be shipped. Serving and Storing Our Gourmet Hawaiian Chocolates:

Our gourmet chocolates are made with fresh cream and fruit purees and contain no artificial preservatives. Therefore they do have a shelf life and need to be stored properly for the best results. The perfect temperature for storing chocolate is 60-68 degrees away from direct sunlight and heat. A wine cooler is perfect for storage of our gourmet Hawaiian chocolates. Under these conditions our chocolates have a 4-6 week shelf life. We recommend chocolate be eaten within 2-3 weeks of purchase for optimum flavor and texture. Enjoy and Mahalo!
